New Captain's Ride/Blog- Sunday 14th December

Hi All,
Well the weather was kind for my first ride lead, but the thorns weren't.  Despite the puncturefest, everyone seemed to have a good time and the coffees or hot chocolates were very nice at the end.  It was great to see so many out, so a very big thank you from me to all of you.

I'm hoping to see more of the club members out on rides over the next year, both locally and I have some thoughts about away-days to such places as the Surrey hills, South Wales (Afan/Glycorrwg or Bike park Wales) and Cannock Chase.

Next Saturday (20th) sees the Go Ride kids off to Swinley.  Zoe has already posted about this, but I'd like to just put a pitch in from the adults side.  Please consider going along.  The trails there are well marked and after the youngsters have had their ride there will be awards presentations, celebrating a great year of achievement for the club's Go Ride program.  So come along, have a ride and support our youth section, even if the kids aren't yours!

Finally may I wish all of you a very happy Christmas.  After you've stuffed all that turkey, don't forget to join us on some rides to regain that fitness!

See you on the trails.

Ian
