Martin has been racing in the F3 series at Dorney Lake this year after making his duathlon debut for the team in Black Park last October. His race times have shown a dramatic improvement every time out so far this season and Martin finished a competitive 51st out of 107 racers and fifth in age group at the second round.
Simon scored a win in his age group at the final round of the Asics Off Road Duathlon Series in Sussex at the start of March, finishing in his best ever overall place of 26th.
Both Damon and Simon raced in the biggest local event, the Marlow Duathlon in mid March, where the run course took competitors along the Thames Riverbank to Bisham and back through the park in the town, before transition onto road bikes for the 25k cycle race through Hambledon, Fingest and Frith. Upon returning to the race venue at the Marlow Sports ground bikes where swapped for running shoes for the final run on a reverse of the first 7k course.
Simon made up several places on the bike section and continued to pass other runners in the final third of the race to come home a creditable 33rd overall and third in his Male Vet 50 age group. Damon had a strong opening run and a solid bike section but tired legs from his half marathon the week before eventually held him back but he still finished 83rd from 220 racers.
Forthcoming races for the team include Hillingdon Tri Duathlon at Minet Country Park on Sunday, 25th March; F3 Series round 3 on 25th March and round 4 on 15th April.
